* Project Management Experience: 1,500 hours of professional experience on a project team
  Educational Background: Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate`s degree or global equivalent)

And

* Project Management Experience: Minimum five years/60 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 7,500 hours were spent leading and directing the project

And

Project Management Education: 35 contact hours of formal education

*Leading and directing the project are identified with the tasks, knowledge, and skills specific in the Project Management Professional Examination Content Outline.
You should have experience in all five groups across all your project management experience submitted on the application. However, on a single project, you do not need to have experience in all five process groups.
 
Key Differences between CAPM® and PMP®
  1. PMP® is a higher level certification which enjoys better reputation and acceptance over CAPM®
  2. PMP® is meant for professionals with at least 3 years of real project management experience and who have experienced project management activities in real world where as CAPM® does not mandate such experience
